Engineering 2-3

Engineering 2 — is an intermediate level engineering course. During this second trimester students will learn Solid Works, which is the industry standard, used today to communicate graphical information in many local and global industries. Students will expand on what they learned about problem solving, visualization and design. Students will continue to explore advanced sketching techniques related to engineering fields. This course is designed for the student who is interested in utilizing computer technology as it relates to engineering and design. Students will produce some of their drawings in our SHS Fab Lab prototyping equipment.

Engineering 3 — Students will be involved in many problem solving, fabricating and design activities such as: Dimension Printings 3D Re-Design Challenge, 2D to 3D laser projects, CNC vinyl, 3D printing of personal jump drives, Lego part design and the possible exploration of Arduino projects, silicon mold making, CNC PlasmaCAM and CNC ShopBot projects.
