Robotics Club

​We are a student-led club run at SHS. Here are some of the things that we are doing:

  • - Attend the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition
  • - Building a driveable T-Shirt launcher & driveable R2-D2
  • - Run a Lego Robotics Tournament for grade schoolers
  • - Program and hold classes for Arduino microcontrollers​
  • ​

  • Club meetings are on Thursdays from 3-5 PM in Mr. Lake's room (SHS W-5). We are always accepting members, so just show up!

FTC Tourney Info

 The Qualifying FTC Tournament date is officially Sunday, January 28 at Oregon State University! It will be an all day event, from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (schedule below).
The Super-Qualifier will be on February 11th at Benson Polytechnic High School in Portland.
TO ATTEND, YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Completed the online registration AND SIGNED THE RELEASE AND CONSENT ONLINE
  • Wear your SHS Robotics shirt and hat
YOUR TEAM MUST HAVE:
  • Engineering Notebook
  • Your Robot (and tackle boxes/chargers/etc)
Each team is responsible for getting their equipment (and themselves) to the tournament.

Lego Robotics Info

Each May, the Robotics Club offers a Lego Robotics tournament for 4th/5th graders.  Signups are open until March 11.  Teams will start practicing after Spring Break. 

By mid-March, we will update the links for Lego Robotics coaches:
